Old Lutheran Quote of the Day

Our human reason has a hard time comprehending all this. If God really wanted all people to be saved, we may think, then they would certainly all be saved. Since this does not happen, we then conclude, it must be the fault of God's will. But what does God's Word say? It says, on every page, that God has not consigned any man to damnation. Rather, from eternity, He loved and desired that all would be saved. - C.F. W. Walther, *God Grant It* pp. 194,5
